Who we are
Advargo Jobs is run by Advargo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom. We are the controller of your personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact us at privacy@advargojobs.com.
What we collect

| Job seekers | Name, email, phone, city, profile details (headline, experience, skills, summary), the CVs you upload, cover notes, the jobs you save and apply to, and the status of each application. |
| Employers | Company name and details, logo, the contact person's name, email and phone, the jobs you post, and notes you keep on candidates. |
| Everyone | Your IP address (used to show you the right country's site and to protect sign-in), the pages and jobs you view, and technical data your browser sends. |
Don't put government ID numbers, bank details or health information in your profile or CV. We don't need them.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your profile and CV to the employers you apply to, and send you updates about your applications or jobs.
- To check employers and job posts before they go live, and to prevent fraud, scams and misuse.
- To show you the right country's site, using your IP address or browser language.
- To improve the site using job views and similar usage figures.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees it
- Employers you apply to see your profile, CV, cover note, email and phone number. Employers can't browse the profiles of people who haven't applied to them.
- Our staff in the UK and India see accounts so they can review listings, answer support requests and keep the site safe.
- Service providers that host our servers and send our emails, under contracts that limit what they can do with your data.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your sign-in and your chosen country so the site works. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Our lawful bases
- Contract: running your account and sending your applications.
- Legitimate interests: checking listings, preventing fraud, choosing your country's site and improving the service.
- Legal obligation: keeping records the law requires and answering lawful requests.
- Consent: any optional emails, which you can stop at any time.
International transfers
Our support team works from India and our servers may be outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, we protect it with the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account stays until you delete it or ask us to. Accounts unused for three years are deleted after a reminder email.
- Applications and their CVs are kept for 12 months after the job closes, so employers can deal with queries, and are then deleted.
- Records we must keep by law are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Most of this you can do yourself in your account. Otherwise email privacy@advargojobs.com; we reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
